Khloe Kardashian has revealed that her newborn son's name does begin with a T but has ruled out that it is Travis.
The 38-year-old welcomed her second child with her NBA star ex Tristan Thompson via surrogacy in the first episode of the second series of The Kardashians, which aired on Hulu (through Disney+ in the UK) on Thursday. The pair have had an on-off romance for six years, but split last year when it was revealed that Tristan had fathered a child with another woman, Maralee Nichols.
In December last year, it emerged Tristan had cheated on Khloe with fitness instructor Maralee, who became pregnant with his child, while he was also expecting a baby with Khloe via surrogate.
On the season debut of the popular reality TV show, the cameras were on hand for the birth of Khloe's second child but Tristan was not. While sitting with her mum Kris and a family friend shortly after the announcement of surrogacy, Khloe reveals that her son will match her daughter True, four, and Tristan with a name that begins with a T.
Kris said: "The biggest thing that you need to think about now is a name," before the family friend added: "It's probably going to start with a T."
To which Khloe replied: "It is going to start with a T. I mean, that's only the names I've been looking at."
Kris then reeled off a list of names on her phone: "Tyler, Tucker, Tatum. We could name him Travis and then just have an easy three."
However, Khloe was quick to dismiss the last suggestion to match the first name of Kourtney's husband Travis Barker and Kylie Jenner's partner Travis Scott.
The reality TV star shared a glimpse of their baby boy ahead of the second season of The Kardashians on Hulu which details the entire pregnancy and the 'difficult time' Khloe faced after discovering that Tristan had fathered another child with another woman.
Khloe had not shown any photos of her baby boy before the second series debut but after the cameras followed her through the surrogacy pregnancy, the 38-year-old felt it was finally time to show her son to the world before the first episode landed. She gives an intimate look at the arrival of her baby boy and the emotional moment that the new mum was able to hold the newborn for the first time.
"I am so grateful. It's such a beautiful gift that we're able to have," Khloe said in a confessional after the birth of her second child.
"Ever since December there's been this dark cloud looming over me. Every single day, I've been feeling depressed and sad, and now that my son is here, I get to move on, and I get to enjoy.
"It's almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me. Now I finally get to start the healing process. Now I get to start enjoying my life with two kids in it and figuring this out."
The Kardashians premieres every Thursday on Hulu.
