Khloe Kardashian has admitted that her close bond with sister Kourtney's ex Scott Disick is putting her in a "tough position".
The pair shared a candid conversation during the Thursday night premiere of The Kardashians on US subscription streaming service Hulu.
New York native Scott, 38, and 43-year-old Kourtney had an on-off relationship for 10 years before splitting for good in 2015 and have three children together - Mason, 12, Penelope, nine and Reign, seven.
The conversation between Scott and Khloe took place after the former was not invited to a family barbecue that was attended by Kourtney and her new fiance, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
Good American co-founder Khloe, 37, commented on the difficulties that her friendship with the father of her elder sister's children presents after a social media user tagged her, saying: "@khloekardashian That conversation with You and Scott was WOW! He has grown so much!!
"You are amazing Khloe. We can all relate.. what a great and extremely hard honest and open conversation."
The Strong Looks Better Naked author responded: "Tough position to be in but we are all a family and communication can fix anything."
Scott told the cameras during the Kardashian-Jenner family's latest reality series that "it was a huge adjustment losing Kourtney romantically, but now it’s becoming a huge adjustment losing her as a best friend.
"Now we’re really just more coparenters. I’d say it’s probably one of the more difficult things in my life," he said.
In September, a source told celeb magazine US Weekly that the exes had drifted further apart in recent times.
The insider said: "Outside of coparenting, Scott and Kourtney’s relationship is nonexistent.
"[Scott’s] really just focused on being there for his kids and spending time with them, as well as focused on his brand and any opportunities that come his way."
Scott also suggested to Khloe during the opening episode of the new show that he is now moving on from Kourtney, saying: "This is probably the first time in 15 years that we have had a really long break from having cameras follow our every move. And I think it got a little lonely.
"Honestly I think for the first time in my life it is finally starting to change. Now that Kourtney has her life with Travis, as hard as it is, it does give me a place to finally be able to move on."
He went on to disagree with Khloe over whether he should be around when Barker, 46, was involved in family get togethers.
"Feeling left out and not being told anything is super hurtful - especially when I don’t have another family to go to,” he pointed out. "I’d rather be around them and be around my family than not at all."
Poosh founder Kourtney and her beau Travis "tied the knot" after staging a wedding ceremony in Las Vegas after the Grammys earlier this month.
The pair had previously got engaged in October and are expected to officially become husband and wife soon.
Whether Scott will receive an invite is currently unknown with the US Weekly source adding: "If it’s filmed for sure, then he might be there but, otherwise, he might want to stay far away from witnessing the pair’s vows."
