PANCHKULA: Exactly a month after becoming the youngest Indian to make it to the Uber Cup team, Haryana shutter Unnati Hooda underlined her stellar rise with a resounding comeback win over former World Junior No. 1 Tasnim Mir to clinch the girls' singles crown at the ongoing Khelo India Youth Games here on Tuesday.
However, later in the day, Maharashtra's Sanyukta Kale swept all the five gold medals on offer in Rhythmic Gymnastics to help the defending champions reclaim the top spot in the medal tally. The 16year-old Sanyukta's clean sweep swelled Maharashtra's gold count to 24 for an overall tally of 66 (24 gold, 24 silver, 18 bronze) and helped her state sneak past Haryana (23 gold, 20 silver, 29 bronze).
