US President Donald Trump and Israeli officials have announced that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had been killed during joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran -- a claim that Tehran has forcefully rejected.

Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to announce the reported death of Khamenei. In his Truth Social post, he wrote:
