KFC expands popular family meal deal across weeknights

KFC is expanding its $10 Tuesday promotion to every weeknight, a bid to attract cost-conscious diners with rotating discounts through Friday, as reported by Restaurant Dive.

The fast-food chain announced in a Monday news release that it would rotate its $10 offerings to provide consumers with more variety throughout the work week.

On Mondays and Fridays, the deal applies to a 24-piece nugget bucket with four dipping sauces. The traditional Tuesday offer of an eight-piece drum and thigh bucket remains unchanged.

On Wednesdays, the deal features 10 wings with two sauces, while the Thursday promotion includes eight tenders and two sauces.

Customers can upgrade these buckets into full meals for an additional cost. According to promotional materials, adding two individual sides and biscuits costs $5, while two large sides and four biscuits can be added for $10.

Melissa Cash, KFC’s chief marketing officer for the U.S., said the expanded promotion was designed to simplify dinner decisions for families.

“We took what our fans love about $10 Tuesday and expanded it into something bigger — a weekday experience with more options at the same $10 price — so you can switch things up without spending more,” Cash said.

The company has not specified how long the promotion will run, though the press release states the deals are available “while it lasts.”

In addition to the value promotion, the chain introduced two new sauces: Honey Chili Crisp and Jalapeño Ranch.

The initiative follows a string of value-focused efforts by the brand to drive customer traffic amid a broader turnaround strategy in the U.S. market. Earlier this year, the company launched a $20 “Build-a-Bucket” promotion and a series of “Value Feast Boxes” priced between $7 and $11.

During a recent earnings call, Yum! Brands CEO Chris Turner described the company’s “Saucy” spinoff concept as a proving ground for flavor innovation as the chain looks to strengthen its dinner business.
