Keynsham cars and homes smashed up in trail of destruction

Police in Keynsham are sweeping the town making multiple arrests after houses and cars were smashed up in a spree of criminal damage sparked by a neighbour dispute. The destruction began early today - Saturday, June 25, when there was a dispute in Coronation Avenue at around 7.30am in which a woman reportedly climbed on the bonnet of a car.

The first call reporting damage to the windows of a house and a car came from nearby Caernavon Road just before 8am. And further calls from members of the public reporting similar incidents in which car windows and house windows were smashed continued to come in to Avon and Somerset police from Coronation Avenue, St George's Road and Queens Road in Keynsham.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said they are attempting to make arrests in the town during the day as investigations step up into what happened this morning.
