Keylor Navas has expressed a “desire” to stay in the Premier League after helping Nottingham Forest secure their top flight status.
But a return to the East Midlands club appears unlikely due to the player’s ambitions and wages.
The Costa Rica international made the move to England’s top division after losing his place at Paris Saint-Germain to Gianluigi Donnarumma at the start of the season.

Navas moved to the City Ground on loan in the January transfer window, having only made two cup appearances with the Parisians this season. The 36-year-old went on to rack up 17 league appearances for Steve Cooper ’s relegation battlers, having said when he first moved that he felt he had been capable of winning the Champions League with PSG.
According to Foot Mercato, despite being due to return to Paris and his parent club in the summer, Navas is keen to remain in the Premier League.
However, the report says, his high salary and ambitions mean that going back to the Reds next season is an unlikely prospect, while Donnarumma is blocking his path to the number one spot at PSG.
Chelsea, Leicester, Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur have been mentioned as potential suitors, all of which are looking to sign a goalkeeper this summer.
