Sheffield United are keen on signing John Souttar, according to a new report.

The 29-year-old Rangers defender is likely to leave Ibrox just five months after extending his contract until May 2027, according to the Scottish Sun.

Souttar, who didn't join the Rangers squad for their recent training camp in Spain, is expected to leave before the end of the window.

Interest in him is not limited to Sheffield United, with several Championship clubs monitoring his situation.

Souttar stayed in Glasgow to sort out his future, alongside Brazilian striker Danilo.

Danilo is also expected to leave Ibrox this summer, with clubs in Holland and Greece interested in the forward.

Rangers are undergoing a squad overhaul, and both players are likely to be part of this summer's changes at the Govan club.
