The upcoming Republican National Convention is set to feature prominent figures from the GOP, including former 2024 presidential candidates who have aligned themselves closely with former President Trump.
Among the notable attendees are North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, both of whom have been rumored as potential running mates for Trump. Vivek Ramaswamy, one of the early Republican candidates to withdraw from the race and endorse Trump, is also expected to make an appearance.
Despite a past contentious relationship with Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is slated to attend the convention and is even scheduled to speak. However, one significant absence will be former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley, the only female candidate who challenged Trump for the 2024 nomination and the last major contender to withdraw from the race.
A spokesperson for Haley confirmed that she was not extended an invitation to the convention but expressed support for Trump, stating that she will be voting for him and wishes him success in the event.
