The top 100 players in the world have been ranked by Football Manager 2023, with the new game receiving its full release today.
Football Manager 2023 officially released on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 for PC, Mac, Mobile devices, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series S/X. But, as was announced earlier this month, the PS5 release has been delayed indefinitely due to "unforeseen circumstances". Sports Interactive has a number of new features introduced to FM23 including a Recruitment Revamp, new Match AI and Animation, Supporter Confidence, Dynamic Manager Timeline, UEFA licence and plenty more.
And with the game now available to play, players are starting to find out who Sports Interactive think are the best footballers in the world, with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema leading the way. Using the FM23 in-game editor, we've collected data and created a list of the top 100 players in world football according to FM23, ranking them by their current ability (CA).
Here are the top 100 players in the world, according to FM23.
The top 100 players in the world ranked by FM23
Current Ability is an attribute used in Football Manager games to judge how good a player is, with each player in the game's database given a rating out of 200 for both Current Ability (CA) and Potential Ability (PA). Potential Ability is a rating given to judge how good players could become, but we've just used CA to assemble a list of the top 100 players in Football Manager 2023.
Kevin De Bruyne takes the top spot in the FM23 list of the top 100 players, with the Manchester City midfielder's CA reaching 189 out of 200. The Belgian is closely followed by Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe, Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski and Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, whilst Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped massively, just about scraping his way into the top 100.
