There’s rarely a good time to visit Kerry when you’re in need of League points, but there’s a definite sense that Armagh should brace themselves for a backlash this weekend.
The All-Ireland champions will be smarting from their 2-14 to 1-10 loss to Mayo in Castlebar last Saturday night and will be keen to secure a second win of the campaign after their opening defeat to Donegal.
Armagh will also be keen to remove themselves from the relegation equation as soon as possible after their first loss of the League at the hands of Division One leaders Roscommon in Dr Hyde Park last Sunday.
Jack O’Connor’s men came away from the Cathedral City with the points following a 1-13 to 0-13 win in round six last year. Now it is the turn of Kieran McGeeney’s side to see if they can claim an away win.
