Kerry Katona has opened up about her looming plastic surgery procedure, as she’s set to go back under the knife to have a corrective op after suffering complications from a previous tummy tuck.
The reality star, 42, is planning to take the whole of January off work to make sure she is prepared for the surgery and has sufficient time to heal afterwards.
Kerry is switching to a new surgeon after her previous tummy tuck went wrong, however she did admit that the complications arose due to her not resting after the procedure, rather than the surgeon botching the op.
She’s planned in plenty of downtime to aid her recovery, as she also revealed she will be getting an eyelift too.
Speaking to OK ! Magazine, Kerry said: “Before the madness begins and I go back into work mode, I’m taking the whole of January off.
"I’m having corrective surgery this month with Pall Mall Cosmetics after undergoing a tummy tuck elsewhere last year and I’m also having an eyelid lift."
Kerry also spoke out about her previous tummy tuck in her book, Whole Again, explaining that instead of resting after the procedure, she moved house.
But despite having plastic surgery on her stomach, she said she is “embracing” her figure.
The star revealed that she had been working on self-care and weight loss after branding herself “a whale” in some bikini photos of herself.
But she also said that she will not apologise for having fun with her kids on holiday, and that it’s normal to put some weight on while on holiday.
Speaking previously to OK! , Kerry said: "I am just embracing it. I know I don’t look the greatest, but it is what it is.
"As I’ve got older, I’ve started to embrace it. I’m not 21 any more and it’s normal for your body to change.
"Naturally, my body is going to change. I’ll do everything in my power to stop it from changing drastically but it’s harder to keep your body at my age. I’m embracing it.”
It’s not the first procedure in Kerry’s appearance overhaul, as she recently flew to Turkey to get new teeth veneers alongside her fiancé, Ryan Mahoney.
