Kerry Katona has called for Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford to make a comeback to This Morning amid the ongoing controversies surrounding Phillip Schofield.
Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry, 42, has insisted that it's 'time for change' after Phillip, 61, sensationally stepped down from presenting duties amid reports of a feud with his co-host Holly Willoughby.
Following Phillip's latest bombshell revelation, where he admitted to having an affair with a young This Morning runner with he was still married, Kerry has called for OG hosts Eamonn and Ruth to make a comeback to help bring back the credibility of the show following the shocking scandal.
Kerry has insisted that she has nothing against Phillip and Holly - despite Phil accusing her of slurring her words during a now infamous interview on This Morning where Kerry had to later clarify that she was on heavy medication for her bipolar disorder.
"It's not even that I've got an issue with Phil these days. He apologised to me after pointing out I was slurring my words on the show in 2008 and we've got on ever since,” Kerry said of her memorable appearance on This Morning.
Kerry went on to admit that she no longer believes in Phillip and Holly's friendship, and hasn't for quite some time.
"It's more that when you're watching the show, you want to believe in their relationship don't you? I can't even watch it now because it makes me cringe.”
The former Atomic Kitten singer went to share her hopes of Eamonn and Ruth making a return to the famous This Morning sofa after Phillip's downfall as other celebrities, including Kim Woodburn and Katie Hopkins have urged Holly to step down too.
"I used to love Eamonn and Ruth on the show, lets get them back," Kerry said.
Following the bombshell about Phillip's affair with a much younger member of This Morning, thousands of social media users have been calling on ITV bosses to also 'bring back Ruth and Eamonn'.
However, it doesn't seem likely that Eamonn will be returning to ITV anytime soon given his furious rants about Phillip in recent days.
Former This Morning host Eamonn took to Twitter on Friday to slam Schofield and pour scorn on his former bosses.
“Ruth and I [were] deceived and lied to... What transpired took us for fools. The man told us complete lies and we unfortunately believed him," he wrote on Twitter.
“Schofield has finally been caught out, but he’s not the only guilty party. Four high members of ITV management knew what sort of man he was.”
After ITV reported to be 'angry and stunned' by Phillip's confession, former employee Eamonn Holmes took to Twitter with a different version of events.
"Schofield has finally been caught out ... But he's not the only guilty party. 4 high members of Itv management knew what sort of man he was," accused Eamonn.
A source then said if allegations of a cover-up surrounding Phillip Scofield's work relationship were indeed true 'very senior heads could roll.'
"If there's any suggestions of a cover-up they could be culpable," a source told The Sun. 'It's also possible that This Morning could end up getting the axe."
A spokesperson for ITV said the broadcaster had been 'badly let down' by the 'admissions of deceit' made by Schofield after the presenter admitted to the affair.
“We are deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit made tonight by Phillip Schofield,” the spokesperson said.
“The relationships we have with those we work with are based on trust.
“Phillip made assurances to us which he now acknowledges were untrue and we feel badly let down."
