Kerry Katona was the victim of fake news on Thursday, thanks to a fan tinkering with an old still of a past appearance on Loose Women.
In a tweet that went viral, the star can be seen sitting on the panel of ITV show Loose Women, with tagline " Kerry Katona sends Vladimir Putin a warning" displayed under her animated face.
"Finally," the creator of the snap captioned the fake image on Twitter, implying that it had been a recent episode of Loose Women.
The image had in fact been taken from Kerry's 2019 cameo on the daytime TV show, where she had been discussing her stint on Celebs Go Dating.
The mum-of-five was a good sport though, going on to share the meme to her own social media accounts - alongside her anti-war stance regarding the recent Russian invasion in Ukraine.
Despite the screenshot being altered, the star's fans still claimed she is capable of 'sorting Vladimir Putin out', and would do a 'better job than the government we currently have'.
Sharing pop culture site Love of Huns' screenshot of the original post to her Instagram Stories on Friday morning, Kerry seemingly opposed war and military action.
The former I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! winner added two gifs to her update, including one bearing the message: "No war."
Kerry also shared posts from fans and pals who fell for the hoax, with one follower dubbing her "this generation's Winston Churchill."
Another read: "At least she's speaking the truth & not just slating. @kerrykatona7 to replace @borisjohnsonuk."
The bizarre meme was created shortly after the horrifying events in Ukraine began to unfold.
On Thursday, Russian forces launched a military attack on Ukraine, with reports of explosions near major cities across the country.
After the first day of war in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed at east 137 people have been killed and 316 injured, following attacks in key cities across the country.
As many fell for the fake Loose Women screenshot on Twitter, some social media user's recalled Kerry's ex-husband's very real warning to terrorist organisation ISIS.
Brian McFadden, who was married to the former Atomic Kitten singer until 2006 - took to Twitter in 2017 to suggest an alternative way of dealing with terrorists.
"Wouldn't it be great if isis had the balls to stand face to face with us and fight. No weapons. No bombs. No dead children. Man to man," the former Westlife singer mused five years ago.
As Kerry's 'warning' went viral on Thursday, Twitter users joked the former couple have plenty in common still.
"Think of what Kerry Katona and Brian McFadden could achieve, if they just got back together," one social media poster quipped, sharing screenshots of both their 'warnings'.
Another added: "Brian McFadden was gonna take on ISIS. Now Kerry Katona is sending messages to Putin. They really were the ultimate power couple."
Brian and Kerry tied the knot on 5 January 2002, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Rathfeigh, County Meath, Ireland.
They went on welcome daughters Molly, 19, and Lily-Sue, 18, into the world together before going their separate ways in 2004, with their divorce being finalised in 2006.
