Kerry Katona has admitted she didn't think she would make it to 42 as she celebrates her birthday.
The former Atomic Kitten singer took to her Instagram page to share a selfie and a paragraph about reaching 42.
While smiling to the camera as she wore her dressing gown, she wrote: "WTF!!!! 42 today!!! Honestly never thought I’d make it after the life I’ve had!! But here I am 42 today about to release my third autobiography!
"I am so eternally grateful and blessed to be here for another year! I have my health, my kids and my Ryan, great friends and great family with a great career. Feeling incredibly blessed."
Kerry didn't say why she thought she wouldn't make it to 42, but it's thought she may be referring to her previous cocaine addiction.
She previously revealed that she almost died twice due to drug binges.
Kerry has talked in the past about how her drug addiction began at 14 after she said her mum introduced her to them.
Since becoming clean, Kerry has raised awareness about the dangers of drugs.
Friends and fans of the star took to the comments to wish her a happy 42nd birthday.
Denise Welch wrote: "Happy birthday darling!!"
While Michelle Heaton said: "Happy birthday gorgeous."
As a fan took to the comments to say: "Happy Birthday to you Kerry xx you are amazing … loved seeing you all dancing together," and another commented: "Happy birthday Kerry Hope you have the bestest of days."
Kerry 's special day comes soon after she celebrated her daughter, Molly's 21st birthday.
The mum-of-five flew over to Dublin where she met up with ex-husband Brian McFadden and danced the night away.
The parents of the newly 21-year-old showed off their best dance moves to LMFAO's Sexy and I Know It alongside the birthday girl.
Wishing her eldest daughter a happy birthday, Kerry took to Instagram to say: "Noooooo!!! Nooooo way is my baby girl @123_mollymc 21 WHAAAT!! Oh my goodness.. baby girl I honestly cannot express in words how b****y proud I am of you, you are one hell of a girl or should I say woman!"
Kerry has previously admitted that her and Brian were unable to co-parent their two children.
The former partners have daughters Molly and Lily-Sue together.
Kerry wrote in her column for OK! : "The last time they saw me and Brian together was last March, when my auntie died.
"And that’s actually the first time Lilly has ever seen me and Brian in the same room since we split. If I’m being honest, me and Brian have never co-parented the kids. I’ve been the one to parent them. It’s just always been that way."
Brian and Kerry tied the knot back in 2002 but divorced after just two years of marriage in 2004.
The Westlife star admitted that they had a whirlwind romance and he didn't have much experience of relationships beforehand.
However, the two have now moved on and had other relationships since.
Kerry is currently engaged to Ryan Mahoney, while Brian asked Danielle Parkinson to marry him in December 2019 and the pair welcomed a baby girl together in May last year.
