Kerry Katona insisted there was no hard feelings between her and ex-husband Brian McFadden, as she confessed she ‘loves’ his fiancée Danielle Parkinson.
The former couple, who share two daughters Molly, 20, and Lily-Sue, 19, split in 2004 after just two years of marriage, but Kerry said she and her ex are in a good place, and she's a big fan of his PE teacher partner.
During a joint interview with daughter Lily, the 41-year-old said she can’t wait until Brian and Danielle tie the knot later this year.
“Oh, we love Danielle. She’s the best. We love Danielle more than Brian!” she told OK!
Brian and Danielle got engaged in December 2019, and welcomed a baby girl in May last year.
Lily is also excited for the nuptials, and said: “It’s going to be amazing. I actually keep forgetting as I’m so used to being asked about Mum and Ryan getting married. I love weddings so much.”
Kerry remained tight-lipped on her and fiancé Ryan Maloney’s wedding plans, and didn’t rule out the possibility of them remaining engaged forever.
“There are no plans as of yet. We’re in no rush, we’re engaged and we’re happy as we are. It’s just nice being engaged, to be honest. If we do it, we do it. If we don’t, we don’t,” she mused.
Kerry, who is also mum to Heidi, 15, Max, 13, and DJ, 7, also touched upon expanding her family with Ryan, who she met on dating website Bumble in 2018.
“Yeah, I’ve gone off that idea now. I can’t think of anything worse, to be honest,” she joked.
Personal trainer Ryan popped the question in August 2020, and while Kerry previously spoke about adding another baby to her brood via surrogacy, she’s now sworn off having more babies.
“I have five children, we’ve got dogs, I’m so busy and I go away quite a lot of the time… I just can’t see myself being pregnant again,” she shared.
The mother-daughter duo also spoke about their close bond during the interview, and Lily said she’s been given some valuable advice from her mum.
“Don’t get married, for starters,” she laughed.
