Kerry Katona says Adele has 'every right' to be a diva as she weighs in on axed gigs

Kerry Katona has jumped to the defence of Adele after the singer's cancelled Las Vegas residency.

The Easy On Me vocalist, 33, was devastated earlier in the month and broke down as she told her fans her Las Vegas shows simply weren't ready.

In an Instagram video she had explained her efforts to get the show ready were "absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid".

However, rumours began circulating that the shows were cancelled due to her "diva-style" requests, including her team allegedly refusing to use the video and sound system at the venue.

Sources told The Sun how the production had long been in jeopardy thanks to behind-the-scenes clashes.

The source said: "In spite of the set costing millions to put together, Adele was unhappy with the result, and she made her feelings very clear to Es.

"She was already nervous and the falling-out sent her spiralling into a panic because she was desperate that everything should be perfect.

"There was no real clarity around what Adele wanted for the show because of the endless changes being made to the production."

And now former Atomic Kitten star has said the singer has "every right" to act like a diva if that's what she's done.

According to New magazine, Kerry said: "To be fair, I think Adele has every right to be a diva. She's a bloody legend!"

It had been thought that the singing sensation has pulled the plug on her appearance at the BRIT Awards next week too following her Vegas cancellations.

Reports suggested BRIT bosses were "scrambling to find alternative arrangements" for the annual awards show on February 8.

A source told The Sun: "Adele was confirmed to perform on the night, but has now pulled out — which has been a massive blow for the organisers.

"They are talking to her team to see if she can appear by videolink.

"It's a massive headache but they want her involved in any way she will agree."

But the songstress revealed on Tuesday that she will take to the stage at the ceremony after all.

Setting the record straight, the Hello hitmaker revealed she will be at London's O2 Arena for the main event.

She wrote: "Hiya, so I’m really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week!!"

Adele also revealed she will be making an appearance on BBC1's The Graham Norton Show while she's back in the city.

She added: "Anddddd I’ll also be popping in to see Graham for a chat on the couch while I’m in town too! I’m looking forward to it!"
