KOTTAYAM/KOZHIKODE: Protests against SilverLine project continued unabated for the second successive day in Nattassery in Kottayam and Thirunavaya in Malappuram on Tuesday. Though the protesters entered into altercations with police the situation did not spiral out of control in both districts.
At Kottayam, protesters who turned up in large numbers uprooted two survey stones in two locations in Kuzhiyalippady minutes after the revenue officials fixed them. One of the stones was thrown into a river.
