Kerala: Minor found pregnant, teacher held

KOCHI: Ernakulam rural police have arrested a 27-year-old madrassa teacher under Pocso Act for alleged penetrative sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl that left her pregnant. Sharafudheen Thayyil of Pattimattom had raped the girl in a room adjacent to the madrassa, police said. He was presented in court and was remanded in judicial custody.

Boy killed in accident:

A 13-year-old boy who was on his way to school died after a bike rammed his cycle at Eloor on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Amaanul Farris (13), son of Rasheed of Muppathadam. Police said he was a student at a school at Eloor and the bike rammed his cycle near the regulator bridge at Eloor.The biker’s arrest is yet to be recorded as he was admitted to a hospital.tnn
