KOCHI: A case of moral policing cannot be quashed on the plea of the accused that the issue was settled out of court with the complainant, the high court has held.
The ruling was given by Justice K Haripal after considering a petition filed by 32-year-old Muhammed Nazar and nine other accused from Thalangara in Kasaragod. They had sought to quash the case that is being tried at a sessions court in which the complainant was Sanal of Cherupuzha in Kannur.
