Kochi: 1,400 families hit as taps run dry

KOCHI: For the past one month, Thara Josy, a resident of Anamthuruthy in Kadavanthra, has been regularly buying five litres of mineral water from a nearby shop to prepare food for her children. Courtesy, the frequent disruption of Kerala Water Authority’s (KWA) drinking water supply to various parts of Kadavanthra.

“Around 1,400 families in the region were badly affected by the complete disruption of KWA’s water supply to the region for the last two week,” said Suja Lonappan, councillor of Kadavanthra division of the city corporation.
