Kentucky QB Will Levis should dominate the NFL Combine

The on-field drills at the NFL Combine start today with defensive linemen and linebackers working out in Indianapolis. It’s an important week for NFL Draft prospects as this is a chance for them to showcase their talent to the entire league.

One player that the Raiders will certainly have a close eye on during the week is Kentucky QB Will Levis. After an up-and-down senior season, scouts want to see how healthy he is after being beaten up all year long behind a bad offensive line.

In a recent article by Jordan Reid of ESPN, he named Levis as the quarterback who could get the most attention in Indianapolis for his workout. Here is what he had to say about the senior quarterback from the SEC:

“His physical traits are outstanding. Levis has high-level arm strength and great size at 6-foot-3 and 232 pounds. In this controlled setting, his ball velocity will stand out and look different from that of his counterparts. Scouts will be paying close attention to his lower half and footwork, which played a part in his turnover woes at Kentucky. But my QB4 has the traits to really pop during his workout.”

Levis should wow scouts on Saturday when he goes through the drills as he might have the best arm in the class. But he needs to be able to show that he can be accurate and that he’s healthy enough to move around and become a rushing threat.

With a strong week in Indianapolis, Levis could start some conversations about him being the first quarterback off the board. Expect the Raiders to have a ton of interest in the former Kentucky passer at the NFL Combine.
