Kenny Miller names THREE Rangers stars who would start for Celtic - but no Kent or Tillman

Kenny Miller believes THREE Rangers players would make Celtic's strongest XI - but there is no place for Ryan Kent or Malik Tillman.

Michael Beale and Ange Postecoglou battle it out at Hampden tomorrow afternoon with the League Cup up for grabs. The Ibrox gaffer is yet to lose since taking over at the helm from Giovanni van Bronckhorst while the Hoops are on a relentless run of form of their own. They've matched the Light Blues stride for stride meaning the gap at the top remains at nine points in the Premiership due to the excellent form of both sides.

As always when these big games arrive, talk leans towards combined XI's and who would make which side. Neil Lennon picked ZERO Rangers stars in his side. He named a host of players that he 'admires' but putting them into a combined team was 'another thing'.

One man who has played on both sides of the divide is Miller and he has weighed in on the debate during last night's Clyde Superscoreboard. One caller claimed only Rangers skipper James Tavernier would feature but the former Scotland international reckons two other stars would also make the cut - with both in agreement over Tav.

He said: "Celtic are a very, very good team and they are very cohesive.

"There's two places up for grabs and that's it - [Aaron] Mooy or [Matt] O'Riley and [Liel] Abada or [Daizen] Maeda.

"They are playing very well and Rangers are playing well.

"I think [Allan] McGregor would get in the team and I think [Connor] Goldson would partner [Cameron] Carter-Vickers.

"At the moment, it's hard to shift that midfield three and the front threes...on their day, they can cause any problems.

"I understand why Frank [caller] wants his front three."
