Celtic and Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has claimed Rangers cannot continue to rely on Jack Butland.
The Englishman has made a positive start to life at Ibrox, even winning plaudits for his performances against PSV Eindhoven and Celtic before the international break despite the Light Blues losing both fixtures.
And while the former Scotland international has been impressed by Butland, he feels Rangers' other summer signings must step up.
Writing in the Sunday Post, he said: Over at Rangers, there is more pressure on them to win because they are at Ibrox against Real Betis.
"The Europa League is a strong competition but it's not of the same quality as the Champions League.
"That's why Michael Beale's men will have an expectation on their shoulders to get through in the top two spots in their section.
"They won't be expected to be on the receiving end of some of the heavy Champions League defeats they had last season or in the recent game at PSV.
"Michael made nine new signings and many of them need to step up and deliver much more.
"Jack Butland has been a shining success and has made many, many good saves already.
But, come full-time on Thursday, if you are talking about your goalkeeper being the main man then you will be in a bit of trouble.
"The Rangers supporters feel they have been let down enough this season and don't want any more pain.
"It's time for victories in big games and getting through this group they are in against the Spaniards, Limassol and Sparta Prague.
"I expect Ibrox to be rocking at the start of the game and the players need to use that positive energy and get on the front foot early.
"Every player should be demanding to be on the ball. There will be no hiding place out there. It will not be tolerated."
