The John F Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., is facing “certain fiscal collapse” in a matter of weeks if President Donald Trump’s name is not restored to the front of the building, according to its leadership.
A draft resolution – first reported on by The New York Times and Washington Post and circulated to the venue’s board of trustees, which is chaired by Trump himself, ahead of a Tuesday meeting – warns it is facing bankruptcy and may soon be unable to pay staff or honor routine maintenance contracts.
