Daria Kasatkina's first WTA event as an Australian has ended with a straight-sets loss to former Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin.

Kasatkina's appearance at the Charleston Open was her first chance to make an on-court statement since announcing she would represent Australia, rather than her native Russia.
