Kendall Lamm returns to practice with Dolphins on Thursday

The Miami Dolphins were still without four players at practice Thursday, but got offensive lineman Kendall Lamm back on a limited basis.

Lamm, 32, took over starting right tackle duties earlier this season after Austin Jackson had a season-ending surgery. But when Lamm was forced to miss Week 15, the team turned to Jackson Carman to take over against the Houston Texans and got brutal results.

While it’s possible the Dolphins could turn to Isaiah Wynn to start in Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers, it’d be a significant boost either way if Lamm was available.

Thursday participation

DNP

  • OT Terron Armstead (knee)
  • WR Dee Eskridge (knee)
  • LS Blake Ferguson (non-football illness)
  • WR Jaylen Waddle (knee)

Limited

  • LB Bradley Chubb (knee)
  • FB Alec Ingold (ankle)
  • OT Kendall Lamm (back)
  • QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip)

Full

  • RB De’Von Achane (groin)
  • LB Cameron Goode (knee)
  • WR Tyreek Hill (wrist)

On Thursday, Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith said the team has “no concern” about the hip injury that has limited Tua Tagovailoa in practices this week.
