Sir Kenny Dalglish believes the reintroduction of Kemar Roofe to the Rangers fold is major for the Govan club.
It's been a tough week for the Light Blues after a week of poor domestic performances was capped off by a 1-1 draw at home to Livingston, piling pressure on manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst and leaving them four points off Premiership leaders Celtic.
Legendary former Liverpool, Celtic and Scotland striker Dalglish rates Roofe highly and his introduction to the Rangers team against Dundee midweek following a lengthy spell with injury forced him to miss all prior games this term is a big plus. Dalglish wrote in his Sunday Post column: "Positive news on the strikers front? Well, for Rangers it has to be the return of Kemar Roofe. "If he can stay fit, what an asset he will be for Giovanni and the team. The Light Blues have a busy schedule in the next few weeks.
"It’s vital they have as many players as possible to choose from. Giovanni knows it hasn’t been good enough recently, with yesterday’s dropped points another low.
"The Rangers supporters have been making their feelings known. But this is a time to stick together and be one. It’s not a time to be divided and pulling in different directions."
