Rangers striker Kemar Roofe has been ruled out for a month after coming off injured in the semi-final win over Aberdeen last weekend.
Boss Michael Beale revealed the extent of the injury during his press conference ahead of the Scottish Cup tie against St Johnstone on Saturday evening. Roofe was helped off the field at Hampden on Sunday when he fell awkwardly moments after scoring the winner against Aberdeen in the Viaplay Cup. He will not require surgery on his shoulder but it will keep him out for four weeks. Beale also announced that Antonio Colak will make the trip to Perth tomorrow.
He told journalists: "Kemar will be out for four weeks it is feeling better and will not require surgery. Colak is back in the squad for this weekend." The Englishman also addressed rumours that Todd Cantwell's signing from Norwich City could be imminent. The playmaker is believed to have travelled north to undergo a medical ahead of a transfer from the Championship club.
Beale, who wants to add "two or three" in the window, revealed the transfer business will not be announced before the St Johnstone game.
He said: "We are very close with one or two bits in the window. Nothing will be announced before this game, our focus is on this game."
