Kemar Roofe confirms Rangers exit as Borna Barisic cuts emotional figure

Kemar Roofe has confirmed he will leave Rangers at the end of his contract.

Both he and Borna Barisic waved goodbye to the Ibrox crowd after last night's 5-2 victory over Dundee.

Philippe Clement was unhappy with his team, admitting he was angry at half-time during their penultimate Scottish Premiership fixture of the season.

A turnaround in the second half saw the home side run out comfortable winners in the end though, and it was a fitting end for the players who will exit this summer.

Roofe was allowed a cameo appearance at the end of the game, however, Ridvan Yilmaz and youngster Robbie Fraser were preferred to Barisic at left-back on the night.

Roofe posted on his Instagram account: "IBROX it's been a pleasure... thanks for having me."

He accompanied it with two photos of himself waving goodbye to the fans who remained inside the stadium at full time for the lap of honour.

Barisic was spotted by eagle-eyed fans passing as he walked around the field clapping the supporters, with the Croatian looking rather emotional.

His future already seems to be tied up, with a deal to join Turkish team Trabzonspor believed to be agreed.

The future remains unknown for Roofe at this time, with the 31-year-old leaving having never reached his potential in Glasgow after signing for £4.5m in 2020.

The deals of both players will expire on May 31 later this month.

While they received the appreciation of supporters who remained inside the stadium for the end-of-season traditional lap of honour, ultras group, the Union Bears, were not present to clap the team.

They walked out on the full-time whistle as they sent a clear message to the team and board that the season run-in hasn't been good enough for Rangers.
