Kelly Osbourne has rebuffed claims that she’s undergone plastic surgery following her dramatic weight loss.
The 38-year-old had a gastric sleeve fitted in 2018 – a surgical procedure which involves the removal of a significant portion of the stomach, leaving behind a narrower “sleeve" – which means the body can only intake small portions of food.
However, she has insisted that, despite her weight loss surgery, “I have never undergone any plastic surgery procedures,” although adding: “There are certainly things I’d consider as I get older…”
Osbourne went on to specify that the only cosmetic procedure she has undergone is Botox and hit back at those who have put her drastic new look under scrutiny.
“It’s peculiar because now that I’ve shed weight, everyone is scrutinising and speculating about what procedures I’ve had done, when in reality, I simply lost weight,” she explained to Daily Mail.
“It’s all about the shape of my face.”
“Everybody is aware that I underwent weight loss surgery, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” she added. “But there’s this constant judgement, like, ‘You didn’t do it the right way.’ There is no one-size-fits-all approach.”
Osbourne concluded by urging people on social media to be kinder to others.
“The path to happiness varies for each individual, and instead of dissecting someone’s journey, we should celebrate their arrival at their destination,” she stated.
She previously revealed that during her first pregnancy with her child Sidney, born in December 2022 with Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson, she refrained from sharing photos of her baby bump due to fears of being body shamed by trolls.
In response to a fan on Instagram inquiring about whether she used a surrogate, Osbourne replied candidly: “There are no pregnancy photos of me because I hid for nine months as I didn’t want to face fat-shaming.”
