Kelly Clarkson 'Outs' Herself as an AI Fan, Except When They Compete With Her Songs in the Charts

Kelly Clarkson has sparked an unexpected AI debate after describing ‘Golden’ from KPop Demon Hunters as ‘humans against AI’ (Credit: The Kelly Clarkson Show/YouTube Screenshot)

Kelly Clarkson says she's a fan of AI, just not when AI-generated artists start competing with human musicians on the charts. During an appearance on Las Culturistas, the singer said she is 'obsessed' with AI and excited by its potential to transform music, but argued that AI artists should have their own chart rather than compete directly with human performers.

Clarkson called AI 'really cool and creative' and said it should be welcomed into music, insisting there is 'an appetite for both.' But when it comes to chart competition, she drew a distinction between AI-generated artists and their human counterparts, saying: 'I think there should be a separate chart' for AI music.
