Kelly Ayotte's national profile is once again on the rise following her recent gubernatorial election victory in New Hampshire. Vowing to be a champion for her constituents, Ayotte expressed her commitment to focusing on economic issues, education, mental health, and housing when she takes office in January.

A former U.S. Senator and state attorney general, Ayotte emphasized her eagerness to work with the incoming Trump administration on various matters, including infrastructure and public safety. Despite her past differences with President Trump, Ayotte expressed her willingness to collaborate for the benefit of New Hampshire.

Ayotte's successful gubernatorial bid came after an endorsement from popular outgoing Governor Chris Sununu, whom she plans to continue the agenda of. She praised Sununu's passion for the state and highlighted her alignment with his views on economic prosperity and personal freedom.

With her experience in Washington, Ayotte aims to advocate for New Hampshire's interests in dealings with the federal government. She stressed the importance of ensuring the state's voice is heard in regulatory decisions and funding allocations.

She plans to prioritize economic issues, education, mental health, and housing.

During her time in the Senate, Ayotte notably withdrew her support for Trump in 2016 over controversial remarks he made about women. Despite this, she congratulated Trump on his election victory and expressed confidence in the Senate's role in vetting the president-elect's cabinet nominees.

Ayotte's victory in the GOP gubernatorial primary was supported by the Republican Governors Association, which provided significant financial backing throughout her campaign. Her decisive win over her primary opponent, Chuck Morse, solidified her position as the party's nominee for governor.

As Ayotte prepares to assume office, her focus remains on serving the people of New Hampshire and upholding the values she believes are essential for the state's prosperity.
