Kell Brook sets out demands for Floyd Mayweather fight after Amir Khan stoppage

Kell Brook will demand millions to return to the ring after beating Amir Khan - as his trainer suggested Floyd Mayweather could be next.

The British star settled his rivalry with Amir Khan last night scoring a sixth round stoppage with an impressive display in Manchester.

His future remains uncertain but he has previously expressed his willingness to face a number of fighters next including Conor Benn and Mayweather.

Brook has now set his demands for any potential bout and has admitted he will need time to talk any decision through with his family.

“If the millions are out I will fight because I’m a prize fighter at the end of the day," Brook said after defeating Khan.

"I’ve three beautiful daughters who want that money off me, at the end of the day I’m a prize fighter.

"I can walk away, I want to thank Ben Shalom. But for now I am back baby, my mojo is back!”

Brook is 35-years-old but showed no signs of his age with a brutal power-punching display to settle his rivalry with Khan.

The Sheffield star was dominant for large periods of the fight and after another sustained barrage of shots in the sixth stanza, the referee took his option to stop the fight.

He has received several call-outs during his time preparing to face Khan including Chris Eubank Jr who reiterated his desire to settle their differences after his victory.

Despite sharing the ring with the likes of Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence, the appetite to fight appears to be still within Brook who was fired up by his performance last night.

Brook's long-term trainer Dominic Ingle believes that a bout with Mayweather could be made for Brook pointing out the importance of being remembered on your "last fight".

"Wherever there's any more fights, whether he needs to do any more is another matter," Ingle said after the clash.

"Because you're always remembered for your last fight. But on this performance, they're both 35, they're not spring chickens. There's got to be some good fights out there. I'm thinking maybe get Mayweather out of retirement and we'll get that fight.

"He seems to want to fight everybody that's not a boxer. But why not? If it can be made, Ben (Shalom) you're the man, apparently.

"You're the new man on the block, so get in touch with Floyd and whether it's an exhibition or a fight, it's probably something we can do."

His opponent has now broken his silence after defeat and has dropped a huge retirement hint of his own after admitting his "love" for the sport is dwindling.

Brook was handed the plaudits by Khan for his performance however with the pair showing a sign of respect by shaking hands at the post-fight press conference.
