Kelis gets behind Glasgow bar to pull pint as American superstar makes hilarious dig at Lewis Capaldi

American singer Kelis has stunned staff members at a popular restaurant in Glasgow after getting behind the bar to pull a pint - and firing a hilarious dig at Lewis Capaldi in the process.

The Milkshake star dropped by Amore d'Italia in Dennistoun last night to entertain punters and take on her new role as 'barmaid' - much to the delight of workers at the top eatery, which is located on Alexandra Parade.

Footage shared on social media shows the noughties chart-topper poised at the pump while a team member jokingly demands, "how long for the pints?" to which Kelis responds "two minutes".

The 42-year-old then proceeds to fill a Peroni glass with frothy beer and hands it over to an excited customer who describes it as "perfect" as laughter and applause erupts from the throng of people gathered nearby.

The superstar, who was in the city to perform at Junction 1 festival, then turns to the camera and takes a cheeky swipe at Lewis Capaldi, saying: "Capaldi, that's how you pour a pint".

It comes after the Bathgate musician also wowed East End pub goers at Amore D'Italia last month when he tried his hand at the beer taps while on a family night out.

The Before You Go chanter enjoyed a chicken burger from the renowned Italian restaurant, and posed for photos alongside staff and guests.

Music-lovers were absolutely loving the photo of the US star, with many flocking to the comments to share their view's on the celeb appearance. One wrote: "Aw I love Kelis, gutted I missed this, I only live across the road".

A second said: "EF OFF! How is she there?" while another added: "She was amazing at Junction 1."

The dinner spot took to TikTok to thank Kelis for her visit, and hailed their 'new recruit', writing: "Our new barmaid brings all the boys to the yard. It was a pleasure having you in our restaurant".
