Keith Barry defends himself after Late Late appearance considered 'pure muck'

Keith Barry has defended himself on social media after his appearance on the Late Late was considered "pure muck".

The mentalist is launching his new show on RTE and joined Ryan Tubridy for a short segment last night.

But it wasn't to the taste of some viewers who slated the star on social media.

One said: "Jesus Christ how boring @KeithpBarry on the @RTELateLateShow , tails, tails, tails we could all predict it. Pure muck."

But Barry jokingly chimed back in and said: "Sending positive vibes right back at ya."

Another viewer defended Barry, saying: "His live shows are unbelievable, he only had 4 minutes tonight, hard to get anything done in that time."

To which the TV star responded: "Thanks - that’s live TV for ya - sometimes it doesn’t all work out to plan. No harm done."

Keith also confirmed he is well and truly "back" with a tour and tv show all getting up and running in the next month.

He tweeted: "Ready to rock on @RTELateLateShow . Reconnected tour starts April 29 and TV show is on @RTEOne starting tomorrow week at 9.45pm. I’m back!"
