Sir Keir Starmer made a rare visit to a nuclear submarine on Wednesday in a rare showcasing of Britain’s nuclear deterrent.

The PM and Defence Secretary John Healey visited the Vanguard class submarine in Barrow-in-Furness off the coast of Scotland, which had been patrolling at sea for more than 200 days.
