Shoppers at Livingston Designer Outlet should keep their eyes peeled for celebrity chef James Martin, who is making a special appearance at the SpudULike restaurant.
The famed chef and TV presenter, well known for his award-winning show James Martin’s Saturday Morning, will be visiting the much-loved jacket potato restaurant to meet staff and customers on Thursday between 12pm and 1pm.
James’ lifelong passion for cooking, food and outstanding ingredients led him to join forces with Albert Bartlett to launch SpudULike by James Martin in October last year. And now the telly personality is set to do a whistlestop tour of some of his UK venues.
He said: “I’m really excited to visit the SpudULike team at Livingston Designer Outlet this week to see them in action.
“It’s a great opportunity to mingle with staff and customers and to really get a feel for the place - a venture I’m so proud to be a part of.”
Leading potato brand Albert Bartlett acquired ten of the SpudULike sites in 2019. The new look and collaboration, in partnership with James Martin, was rolled out in October 2021.
Michael Jarvis, Head of Marketing at Albert Bartlett, added: “Having James Martin on board for SpudULike has been an honour and his creativity has taken the menu in an exciting new direction.
“James’ trip to SpudULike at Livingston Designer Outlet will be a great event and we’d encourage anyone who is shopping between 12pm and 1pm this Thursday to pop in and say hello. And of course, grab a delicious baked potato while you’re in – when it comes to our spuds we don’t mess around.”
