Kalvin Phillips ended his 12-year love affair with Leeds United by joining Premier League champions Manchester City on Monday.
The Leeds-born midfielder arrived at the club's academy in 2010 and went onto play 234 times for the Whites, scoring 14 goals. He played an integral role in Marcelo Bielsa's Championship title-winning side of 2019-20 and established himself as an England regular during his two seasons in the Premier League at Elland Road.
Phillips was named England men's player of the year in 2021 and helped guide the Three Lions to the Euro 2020 final at Wembley last year. As he prepares for a new chapter away from Elland Road, here are your farewell messages to the 'Yorkshire Pirlo'.

LyddonHall96 Could there please be a new Premier League rule that Pep has to drop him when we play Man City? Too many of us will be in tears seeing him in sky-blue instead of white… Thanks for everything, lad. Some truly wonderful memories. You are welcome back home anytime. MOT!
MOTFoxy Seen you grow into the great player you are, coming through the ranks even in your days at Wortley when you played against my eldest son - your time at LUFC has been amazing and your achievements with the national team are a true accomplishment of your talent. Good luck Kalvin, you will be missed. PS, don't come back and put one past us, as is always the case when a player returns to his old club!
DJRef I can understand you wanting to be in a team competing in European competitions, as would any player, and I have only praise for you doing it. You've been an amazing player at Leeds and I thank you for what you've helped us achieve. I hope that in the future Leeds will be competing in Europe and we'll maybe see you back here. I for one would very much welcome that. Have a great future as you deserve it!
Maltway Good luck Kalvin. I will miss you but there is no one in the world that I wish more having success. You stayed in the Championship despite offers from Liverpool and helped United to the Premier League. You will always have a place in my heart and I really hope we will retire the shirt with number 23 on top of Elland Road. Good luck in the future and thanks for everything.
DrennoLUFC KP, I remember the first time I saw you play coming on against Liverpool in the Carling Cup, chasing back 60 yards to win a tackle - from then I knew you were special. You didn’t get that many goals but my favourite was your free kick against Blackburn - what a scorcher. You have been my favourite player since Batts and he would admit you have a better all round game. How many others were being watched week in, week out by Southgate whilst in the Championship? You are top class, a true Leeds legend. I was so proud of you after that game against Croatia at the Euros. I had been telling all my non Leeds fan mates about you for years and they didn’t believe how good you were until that game.
Even then you still played a different role to the one I seen every week under Marcelo with you pinging inch perfect diagonal sixty yards balls down the wing, but you bossed it, winning everything, even had a jinking run to set up Sterling - didn’t know you had that in the locker! You turned down big money to go to Villa in the Prem to make sure you got us up. I know you are going to City for the right reasons and you have all our blessings to go - you deserve your shot at the big time. I know you’re a better player than Rodri and in a couple of months you will be one of the first names on the team sheet if you keep fit, you have so much class and composure. I’ll miss seeing you pulling on the white shirt every week but I know you will make us proud and I know Granny Val will be smiling down on you knowing you made the right call. Best of luck pal and thanks so much for the memories.
WeeAl All the best for the future Kalvin, you are Leeds through and through and never will be anything else, you're right to keep following your dreams as you only ever get one chance. Your dreams started with us and will never leave us, we will always be behind you young man, enjoy the future its there for the taking. City are made for you and the next stage of your dreams, go get those trophies buddy, cant wait to see you lifting the Champions League, Premiership and many more trophies in the near future. ALAW - MOT will never leave your thoughts.
