Three free shuttle services linking the city's nightlife venues and independent retailers in four local business districts have sprung up in Newcastle in recent months as traders put the pedal down to reinvigorate the local economy.
After Midtown's Bernie's Bar secured City of Newcastle special business rates funding (SBR) for a six-month venue-to-venue shuttle trial earlier this year, other collectives in the city have joined the party.
