In a glitch in the Matrix, Keanu Reeves says that he and Winona Ryder are actually married and have been for almost 30 years.
Sort of.
In an interview with Esquire, Reeves reacted to popular rumours and misconceptions about the beloved actor - including one that he is married to Ryder.
This rumour began thanks to a scene in 1992’s Dracula, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring both actors, where they tie the knot in a religious ceremony with a real-life priest.
Ryder brought the alleged marriage to public attention in 2018, when promoting the pairs fourth film together titled Destination Wedding.
In an interview withEntertainment Weekly, the Stranger Things actress said: “We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to God, I think we’re married in real life.”
“In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So, I think we’re married.”

Now, fast forward to today, Reeves has confirmed the rumours.
The actor said: “We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests.
“Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So, I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.”
The kind-of couple have even previously admitted to their “strong chemistry” and having “big, healthy” crushes on each other!
When asked what happened to their crushes on each other, they said “it’s still there, still raging”.
But, to the dismay any dedicated shippers of the Hollywood pair, they are both thought to be in relationships. To other people.
Ryder has been dating fellow actor, Scott Mackinlay Hahn, since 2011 and Reeves is dating artist Alexandra Grant.
