Manchester United were dealt a Premier League reality check by arch-rivals Manchester City in the Premier League, as Pep Guardiola's side ran out 6-3 winners in the 188th Manchester derby.
The Blues ran into a convincing 4-0 lead before the half-time whistle sounded, with both Erling Haaland and Phil Foden each helping themselves to a hat-trick.
Goals from Anthony Martial (2) and Antony eventually helped United reduce the deficit in the second period, but the damage was already done during the first 45 minutes of action.

Haaland and Keane's 'reunion'
Billed as one of the biggest talking points of the summer, Norweigan machine Haaland eventually chose City and has since followed his father's footsteps.
But with Roy Keane and Alf-Inge Haaland already having written their own well known history, both were working separately on media duties, when one TV producer attempted to reunite the pairing.
It's safe to say nothing was gained despite the pair being within 25 yards of each other at one point, with Alf-Inge's son inflicting pain on the red half of Manchester in his first outing since his summer move.
Ronaldo's reaction
United forward Cristiano Ronaldo cut a frustrated figure as his side conceded the third of four first half goals, with both himself and Casemiro's emotions clear to see on the substitutes bench.
Clearly in disbelief, the Reds number seven was dealt a further blow when Ten Hag made his fifth substitution meaning he could do no more but watch on as City continued their domination.
Match ball antics
With both Haaland and Foden finding the net three times each, the question as to who claimed the match ball went long into the full time celebrations.
Haaland could be seen initially with the ball, before Ilkay Gundogan joking knocked the ball from his hands as Foden went to collect it.
In the dressing room at full time, both players could be seen with their own, of course signed by each of their team-mates as part of tradition.
