A 69-YEAR-OLD kayaker has been rescued after falling into the sea near Oban in Argyll and Bute.
The coastguard was alerted to the incident in Ardmacknish Bay near Oban Airport at 4.45pm on Wednesday.
A coastguard helicopter, lifeboat and coastal rescue team were dispatched to the scene and the kayaker was recovered from the water and brought to land.
The coastguard said the man had been wearing a lifejacket when he entered the water, and that he is now safe and well.
