Katy Perry fans plead with star to sing Just Eat song at King Charles' Coronation

Katy Perry fans are calling for her catchy Just Eat song to be performed at King Charles III's Coronation next month.

Fans of the American singer, 38, are begging for the hitmaker to croon her famous - and very catchy - Just Eat song which plays out on the adverts for the food delivery service.

Katy confirmed last week that she is a part of the star-studded line-up for the Coronation Concert, which will take place on May 7 at Windsor Castle - the day after the King's Coronation ceremony.

And since her confirming her attendance at the event, a Twitter campaign for the star to perform the Did Somebody Say track.

Taking to the social media platform, one fan said: "How am I just finding out that Katy Perry is to perform at the coronation? I hope she sings her Just Eat song."

"Really hope she does ‘Just Eat’. It’s one of my faves," added a second.

"Katy Perry should sing the Just Eat song at the Coronation," echoed a third.

"Pleeeeeease perform the Just Eat jingle at the Coronation it's the most British song you have," begged a fourth.

While a fifth said: "She really has the potential to do the funniest thing."

And a sixth added: "Especially if she sings King Kong instead of Ding Dong."

Last night (April 19) Just Eat’s UK marketing director Victoria Gold backed the social media calls for the iconic track to be performed at the Coronation concert in a couple of weeks.

She said: "King Charles loves a national anthem, so it’s no surprise that fans are calling for our cultural hit ‘Did Somebody Say’ to be sung at the coronation concert.

"Obviously all setlist decisions will be finalised by the monarch and artist, but Just Eat can guarantee the nation’s food cravings will be answered.

"Whether that’s a ‘margherita with extra cheese on it’ or a ‘curry in a hurry, extra sauce on the low’, fans can enjoy a delicious meal all the while watching Katy Perry put on a royally good show."

Katy first appeared in the Just Eat adverts in 2022, when she took over from rapper and pal Snoop Dogg, who was at the helm for two years from 2020.
