Eddie Hearn hopes that Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano's upcoming super-fight can be confirmed next week.
Undisputed lightweight world champion Taylor is on a collision course with the Puerto Rican in what is already being billed as the biggest female boxing fight of all time.
Both sides have been locked in talks for several months to bring the two together, with Madison Square Garden in April touted as the likely place and time.
And Matchroom boxing supremo Hearn has provided an update for Irish fans as they look forward to the historic showdown.
"The absolute objective (for Taylor) now is to nail the Serrano fight," Hearn told The Irish Mirror at the Michael Conlan v Leigh Wood press conference in Belfast.
"I hope next week we'll have some good news for you."
Working alongside Youtube boxing star Jake Paul from Serrano's side, Hearn insists that Paul brings a lot to the table and will be an asset to the fight as he opened up on why making the bout has been a long time coming.
Hearn added: "He's been really good.
"It's just a big fight, it's just gearing up many different things and we've been in a good place for a long time. It's very finer details now that I expect to get solved this week.
"He's going to be a massive asset to this fight, because this fight is for history."
Looking forward to the ground-breaking showdown, Hearn is delighted to see it come full circle for the Bray boxer after they initially started working together.
He said: "It's the moment women's boxing gets accepted as boxing to the wider global audience.
"This is much bigger than the biggest female fight of all time, this is a game-changing moment.
"When Katie came into my office seven years ago, this is what we've been working towards - that moment where the world stops for women's boxing."
