Katie Taylor's historic victory over Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden is set to be shown live on free-to-air TV tonight.
Taylor triumphed over Serrano in New York last weekend in heroic fashion as many moved to call it the fight of the year.
Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano reached an audience of 1.5 million on DAZN, making it a record-breaking night for the sport.
In a stunning fight, Taylor stood firm to remain undisputed Lightweight champion of the world after Serrano had battled back and asked serious questions of the Olympic gold medallist.
And after the bedlam of last weekend's fight, Irish fans can now draw their breath and relive the bout equipped with the knowledge of the outcome as BBC3 and the BBC iPlayer are set to broadcast the fight again at 10pm tonight.
Taylor was full of praise for her opponent following the fight and ranked the win above her Olympic gold medal in terms of the size of the achievement.
She said: "What an amazing champion Amanda is as well. A phenomenal fighter and we definitely got the best out of each other for sure.
"Everybody was talking coming into this fight that it was the biggest women’s fight in boxing history but I think it succeeded everything that people were talking about this week.
"Just walking out to the ring today just looking at a packed stadium, It was unbelievable.
"It was an absolutely special, special moment.
"The best night in my career for sure.
I wasn’t sure if anything could reach my Olympic gold medal moment; today was absolutely the best moment in my career."
Talk of a Taylor-Serrano rematch in Croke Park later this year is now growing as the boxing world cries out for a repeat of the Madison Square Garden classic.
Pat Gates of the Croke Park Area Residents’ Alliance agreed that it would be a special event for a national hero - but admitted further details would need to be ironed out first.
He said: “I would be delighted to see Katie fight at Croke Park, as it would be a special one-off event.
“[I'm] not sure what the planning issues may be for Croke Park, as they know they have gone over the acceptable number of events per annum.
“That makes it very different from five concerts over two weekends [like country music star Garth Brooks in September].
“I have not discussed this with my residents’ association, but we will meet to get people’s views.
“But, personally, I would see Katie’s fight as a special one-off event for a national hero and amazing woman."
