The mooted Katie Taylor rematch against Amanda Serrano taking place in Croke Park has been given support by a Dublin City Council sub-committee.

The Bray world champion pugilist retained her belts in the historic bout in Madison Square Garden last month.

The 35-year-old has said she would "love" to fight in front of 80,000 people in Croke Park.
