Katie Price has claimed the dark reason why she got behind the wheel on the fateful night of her drink-drive crash was because one of her children allegedly said: "Dad won't let me see you".
The former glamour model, 44, documents going to court to be sentenced after flipping her BMW at 5am in the morning in September last year in her new Channel 4 documentary Katie Price : Trauma And Me.
After pleading guilty to drink-driving, without insurance and whilst disqualified, the mother-of-five swerved jail and was handed a 16 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and 100 hours of community work.
Speaking out for the first time on her motives behind getting into the driver's seat, Katie claimed: "That night of the drink driving, I only had about two weeks to get my licence.
"With one of my ex-husbands I had one of my children on the phone saying; 'Dad won't let me see you now'.
"That was the final thing for me. I live in the countryside and I can't go out. I needed to talk to someone, I had no outlet.
"There was a reason why I got in the car, why my head was like that."
Katie claimed: "When you get told by an ex-husband or one of your children that 'Dad won't let me see you'. They know, the only thing in my life is my children."
The mother-of-five alleged ex husbands Pete and Kieran have been "ganging up together" against her.
"It's very exhausting", she said.
Katie is mum to Harvey, 20, Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, - whom she shares with ex Peter Andre, 49.
She also has Jett, nine, and Bunny, eight, from her previous marriage with Kieran Hayler, 35.
Kieran's representatives have vehemently denied Katie's claims. Peter's representatives have been contacted for comment.
During the documentary, set to air on Thursday, Katie says: "In September 2021, I saw my life come crashing down.
"I got myself in a situation so many times and I end up going off like a firework. It was a total nightmare and I hit rock bottom.
"I couldn't give a s**t if I lived or died. I was really in a bad way.
"I've been struggling with my mental health for some time. I've been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
"I've got anxiety, depression, major trauma.
"My family have always been there for me. But they've had a tough time."
The documentary charters how Katie sought professional help to tackle her demons and hopes by being open about her struggles, others will have the courage to seek help.
Katie Price: Trauma And Me airs Thursday 8th September on Channel 4.
