Katie Price reflects on shock suicide attempt and says she's 'focusing on the future'

Katie Price reflected on surviving her shock suicide attempt and said she is now "focusing on the future".

The former glamour model, 44, took to her Instagram Stories to discuss being 'near death' and thanked her friends and family for their support.

She now talks to therapists and vowed to keep going.

Posting on her Stories earlier today, she said: "Wtf everyone seems to be dying in my industry of work at the moment.

"I'm just sticking to being strong and sticking to therapist's advice and focusing on the future knowing I've been near death in causing my own suicide actions that thankfully I survived and realised I have a future and life.

"I can only thank the #priory #myconsultandtherapist Alan, Family, close friends, children."

Katie - who has children Harvey, 20, Junior, 17, Princess, 15, Jett, nine, and Bunny eight - has been open about her mental health struggles.

Earlier this year, Katie revealed she attempted suicide after hitting 'rock bottom' following her drink-driving arrest.

In September 2021, the star flipped her car during an accident near her home in Sussex.

She was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months, a two-year driving ban and 100 hours of community service after admitting to drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance.

In an interview on Mark Dolan Tonight on GB News, the TV personality said she has weekly therapy sessions and revisited her lowest point.

During her chat with Mark, Katie said: “What I want from the future is to definitely make a comeback and prove to people I can, because I've been there, and I've told my story.

“Literally, I hit rock bottom. It was that bad that I tried to commit suicide, but I've come up from that. You can get out of that rut. If I can do it, you can do it.”

She previously said that she felt suicidal after her DUI arrest, admitting that she ‘let herself down’ after committing the crime.

Katie immediately checked herself into The Priory following her arrest.

Recalling how she made it past feeling suicidal, Katie told viewers: “Remember, nothing is that bad. It's just when you're in that bad place your mind ruminates and you think you can't get out of that rut, but you can do it. If I can do it, you can do it.”
