Katie Price has met with Lee Andrews’ former partner Dina Taji in Dubai while her husband remains in a jail in the city.
The controversial businessman, who has faced accusations of being a conman, faces a reported £100,000 fine to be released from prison after he was arrested for a civil matter last month.
Price, who jetted to Dubai earlier this week and has visited Andrews at Al Awir Central Prison, is “in pieces” and has reportedly realised that they could be “heading for divorce”.
Now, it’s been revealed the former glamour model, 48, has met up with Andrews’ former partner Taji, a fitness coach who has been living in Dubai for more than 20 years.
Taji was with Andrews, 43, for three and a half years and accused him of taking out a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge shortly after they married - something he denies.
Price shared a video with Taji teasing their upcoming discussion on her The Katie Price Show podcast, declaring that “women stick together”.
Taji reportedly took legal action against Andrews, leading to him spending three weeks in a Dubai jail and being hit with a travel ban.
He has vehemently denied the conman claims along with allegations that he is unable to leave the UAE due to a travel ban.
Price said in their video: “Women stick together and I came to Dina about one of the cases because I thought is Dina involved?
“Then obviously we had a cup of tea as girls do, we’ve had a long chat and that’s for us to know and for you to find out in the future. On that note I’m glad we met.”
Originally from Orlando, Taji lives in Dubai and has a cat sanctuary where she saves the lives of stray cats by feeding and rehoming them.
Taji said: “Just out of respect, if there’s anything I wanted to share and kind of warn her about anything it would be woman-to-woman, face-to-face.
“I don’t care about coming on here and all this noise that’s happening.”
Hours after their conversation, Price flew home to the UK and was pictured without her wedding ring, in pictures obtained by The Mirror.
Sources claimed three-time divorcee Price feels “confused” over Andrews’ actions and fears she will be “heading to the divorce court again”.
“Katie is in pieces. To the outside world she wants to keep up the bravado. But inside she can't believe how Lee has made her look,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“He's pulled the wool over lots of people's eyes – especially women. And now, as it's all being played out in the public eye, she's at the forefront of the con.”
The insider said the previously bankrupt star - who married Andrews in January just days after meeting him - is hesitant to bail Andrews out and may not have the means to come up with the money.
“Katie is so confused, but ultimately it looks like she will be heading to the divorce court once again,” they stated.
Price’s representative declined to comment when contacted by The Standard.
Andrews was detained for a “private civil matter” last month but insisted to Price that he was kidnapped on suspicion of espionage.
The TV star and Andrews’ family launched an international appeal to find him after he went missing for two weeks, with Price later revealing he was “alive and well” at Dubai’s Al Awir Central Prison.
Price revealed on Wednesday that she has a Dubai phone number for Andrews in prison and has visited him in jail.
“I’m absolutely knackered, it’s the second morning because I spoke to Lee yesterday and he wants me to go to the Al Awir prison because he’s given me permission to get all his phones, his belongings,” she said.
“So I’m going there now. I still need to hear back from his lawyer if I can get a visit to see him. It’s Wednesday and I go on Friday… time is running out.”
Her family are reportedly growing increasingly “concerned” about her spending so time away from her kids and being with Andrews in a different country.
It is understood Andrews was arrested on May 14.
The businessman - who is based in Dubai - had been set to fly to the UK to do a joint interview with Price on Good Morning Britain but failed to show up and could not be contacted.
He told Price he had been “bundled into a van” with his hands tied at the Dubai border and taken to a so-called “black site” while attempting to fly to London to be with her amid rumours of a travel ban.
His family reportedly filed a missing persons report with the British embassy but consular staff in Dubai were reportedly been unable to find any trace of him.
After he was located behind bars, Price said Andrews had been shocked to discover he had become “the most hated man in prison” as his disappearance sparked widespread speculation online.
